# Video Resources

Learning Vincent Studio through Video Guides.

### Summary

Access a curated collection of video tutorials designed to help you master Vincent Studio. These visual guides provide step-by-step instructions on creating workflows and utilizing essential features to automate your legal tasks effectively.

### Why This is Important

Mastering workflow automation can be complex when relying solely on text instructions. These video resources allow you to see the Vincent Studio interface in action, reducing the learning curve and ensuring you can replicate steps accurately to build efficient workflows without trial and error.

### Vincent Studio Video Library

#### Module 1: Studio Foundations

Start here if you have never opened Vincent Studio. These two videos cover what Studio is and how its building blocks fit together, everything else in this library assumes them.

**1. Introduction to Studio**

**Watch this first to understand what Studio is and what it replaces.**

Vincent Studio is the space where designated Publishers turn a firm's repetitive legal processes into guided workflows, so end users no longer write complex prompts from scratch for every task. This video introduces the Studio environment, explains the Publisher role, and shows the kind of work that belongs in a workflow versus a standard Vincent conversation.

* **What you will learn:** what Vincent Studio does, who can build in it, and how to decide whether a task is worth turning into a workflow.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro Tip:** Open Vincent Studio in a separate tab while watching this video so you can pause and follow along with the steps in real-time.
{% endhint %}

**2. Studio Hierarchy: Workflows, Tasks, and Steps**

**The three-level structure behind every workflow you will build.**

Studio organizes automation into Workflows, Tasks, and Steps. A Workflow is the top-level container that mirrors a real legal process; Tasks are the engine that drives it forward, either Immediate, running as soon as input is provided, or Suggested, offering the user a choice at a decision point; Steps are the granular operations inside each Task. This video walks through all three levels and how context accumulates as a workflow runs.

* **What you will learn:** the difference between a Workflow, a Task, and a Step, and when to use an Immediate Task versus a Suggested Task.

#### Module 2: Building a Workflow

These four videos follow the workflow builder end to end, in the order you will actually use it.

**3. Starting a Workflow in Studio**

**Step 1 of the builder: give your workflow an identity your team can find.**

Every workflow begins with its details, name, description, and tags, and these are not housekeeping fields. They are what your colleagues read when they decide whether to run your workflow, so this video shows how to write them so the workflow is discoverable and its purpose is obvious without explanation.

* **What you will learn:** how to create a new workflow, and how to name, describe, and tag it so your team can find and understand it.

{% embed url="<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h1167RaVSenIX5g7TM8mvRlU8mo5Z97g/view?usp=drive_link>" %}

**4. Building the Core Logic in Studio**

**Where a general-purpose AI becomes your firm's specialist.**

The Workflow Prompt defines the AI's role, the who and the why, while Workflow Assets give it your firm's source of truth: playbooks, checklists, approved templates, or the informal rules your most experienced lawyers apply. This video shows how the two work together to ground outputs in your standards rather than generic legal reasoning.

* **What you will learn:** how to write a Workflow Prompt, how it differs from a Task Prompt, and what makes a document a good Workflow Asset.

**5. Configuring User Inputs in Studio**

**Decide how your colleagues start the workflow, and how Vincent reads what they upload.**

Every workflow starts either with a file, for document-centric analysis, or with a prompt, for work that creates something new. This video covers both paths, the instructions users see on screen, and the Document Preprocessor that determines how uploaded files are read, including when to move off the standard Text Extractor for redlines, images, formatting, or PDF form fields.

* **What you will learn:** how to choose between Start with a File and Start with a Prompt, how to write input instructions, and how to select the right Document Preprocessor.

{% embed url="<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EfrMLqNabwxVgGv0k9wEJW9pHlrvC7Wa/view?usp=drive_link>" %}

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro Tip:** When in doubt, use the standard **Text Extractor**. It is the right choice for the large majority of workflows, only switch to a specialized preprocessor when your workflow has a specific technical need, such as analyzing tracked changes in a negotiated draft.
{% endhint %}

**6. Steps & Action Types in Studio**

**The most important technical decision you make when building a task.**

The Action Type is the tool you hand the AI; the prompt is the instruction for using it. This video walks through the Action Types available in the task builder, from Prompt with Context, the versatile default, to Prompt per File, Compare Documents, Extract Chronology, and Clarification Question, and shows how combining them in a single workflow produces results a single prompt cannot.

* **What you will learn:** what each Action Type does, how to match one to your goal, and how to chain different Action Types across tasks.

#### Module 3: Publishing & Access Management

Building a workflow is half the job. These videos cover getting it into your team's hands and controlling who can use it.

**7. Publishing & Administration in Studio**

**Turn a private draft into a tool your firm actually uses.**

Saving a workflow keeps it as a draft visible only to you; publishing makes it live for the audience you define. This video covers the three visibility options, the whole organization, individually authorized users, or User Groups, the Featured toggle that surfaces a workflow on the Vincent home screen, and how to change any of these settings after publication.

* **What you will learn:** the difference between Save and Publish, how to set visibility, when to feature a workflow, and how to update access later.

{% embed url="<https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m6546Sjly7hA1uWfcwKFgZXIcZVjZ20F/view?usp=drive_link>" %}

**8. Creating User Groups in Studio**

**Stop maintaining email lists by hand.**

User Groups let you define a named set of users once and reuse it across any workflow, replacing manual email-by-email sharing. This video shows how to create a group, add members by CSV upload or by typing addresses directly, and assign one or more groups in a workflow's visibility settings.

* **What you will learn:** how to create and name a User Group, how to add members in bulk, and how to grant a group access to a workflow.
