Summary
Learn how to create and assign tasks in a Project in Vincent, set priorities and due dates, and filter the list to the work assigned to you.
Why This is Important
When several people work a matter, the question of who is doing what usually lives in email or in someone's head. Tasks put it next to the work itself, so a junior joining the Project can see what is outstanding without asking.
How to Create and Assign a Task
Open the Project and go to.
Create a task and give it a title, for example Review NDA draft.
Assign it to anyone the Project is shared with.
Set a priority and a due date if you want them.
Save. The task appears in the list with an icon showing who it is assigned to.
You can tick a task off when it is done, and untick it if it turns out not to be. Pinning a task lifts it to the top of the list. The list can be filtered to all tasks or only those assigned to you.

There are no notifications. Assigning a task does not alert the person it is assigned to, and a due date does not trigger a reminder. The due date is displayed on the task and nothing more. Tasks need to be checked rather than waited for.
Best Practices & Pro Tips
Tell the person you assigned them something. Because nothing notifies them, an assignment made silently is an assignment nobody knows about. Assign the task so the record exists, then send the message.
Use tasks for the work, not for the project plan. This is a shared to-do list, without dependencies, stages, or rollups. It earns its place holding the handful of things outstanding this week; a full matter plan will outgrow it.
