Learn what the activity log in a Vincent Project records, what it leaves out, and how to use it when a matter changes hands or you need oversight of a team.
Summary
Learn what the activity log in a Vincent Project records, what it deliberately leaves out, and how to use it when you take over a matter or need oversight.
Why This is Important
As soon as work is shared, the question becomes who did what and when. The activity log answers it without anyone being interrupted, which makes it useful for a supervising lawyer checking on delegated research and for the firm's own record of how a matter was handled.
How to Open the Activity Log
Open the Project and go to Activities . Everyone with access to the Project can see it.
What the Log Records
Anything that affects the Project as a whole:
Creating a conversation
Uploading or deleting a file
Editing the matter summary, key facts, or parties
Similar changes to the Project itself

Best Practices & Pro Tips
Read the log before the status call, not during it. Five minutes in the activity log tells you what was actually done since you last looked, which is a better basis for the conversation than asking each person to report on themselves.
Use it when a matter changes hands. The log is the fastest route into a file you did not start: it shows what was researched, in what order, and by whom, so you can go straight to the conversations that matter instead of reading all of them.
