# How to Manage Your Personal Account Settings

### Why This is Important

Your account settings allow you to tailor the vLex Library interface to your needs. Proper configuration of your country and language preferences improves the relevance of your Newsfeed and default search settings.

### How to Access and Edit Your Settings

1. Log in to your account and click the **person icon** in the top-right corner.
2. Select **Manage your account** from the dropdown menu.

#### What You Can Manage

From this page, you can edit several key settings:

* **Profile Information:** Update your name, email, and other personal details. Remember to click **Save** after making changes.
* **Language Settings:** Choose your preferred interface language and set your default translation preferences.
* **Privacy and Cookies:** Opt-out of marketing cookies and communications.
* **Change Your Profile Picture:** Click on your profile picture to go to the Gravatar service, which vLex uses for user avatars. Changes made on Gravatar will appear the next time you sign in.
