# How to Translate Legal Documents in vLex Library

### How to Use Translation Tools

#### Translating a Document You Are Viewing

1. Open any document.
2. Click the **Translate** icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select your desired language from the pop-up menu.
4. You can choose to view the fully translated version or select **Parallel text** to see the original and translated versions side-by-side for comparison.

#### Searching in Other Languages

You can also run searches in languages other than your default.

1. Go to **Advanced Search**.
2. Use the **Translate search terms** toggle above the word fields.
3. Select a target language to have your English search terms translated for the query, or leave it blank to search across all languages.
