How to Find Books and Journals

You can use several methods to locate publications:

  • Smart Searchbar: Enter a title or topic and select the Books and journals filter on the results page.

  • Browse Tool: Select Browse from the main menu, then click Books and journals to explore by publisher or view a full list.

  • Advanced Search: Select Books and journals as the Content type to access specific filters like Author, Publisher, or Source.

How to Navigate a Publication

Once you open a book or journal, you will see an overview page.

  1. General Information: The left side displays key details about the publication.

  2. Table of Contents / Issue List: The right side (or center, for journals) displays the structure of the publication. Click any chapter or article title to open it.

  3. Search Within: Use the search bar at the top-left of the overview page to find keywords within that specific publication.

Stay Updated on New Issues: For journals, use the Follow toggle at the top of the page. You will receive a notification in your Newsfeed whenever a new issue is published on vLex Library.

  • Use Exact Title Search: When using Advanced Search, place a title in quotation marks (e.g., "Chitty on Contracts") in the Title field to find a specific book.
