Summary
Learn about Vincent supported languages and how to manage your translation settings. This guide shows you how to customize your interface language and configure automatic translation preferences to streamline your multi-lingual and multi-jurisdictional legal research.
Why This is Important
Working across different languages is a reality for many legal professionals. Vincent provides powerful tools to customize your language experience, ensuring the interface is comfortable for you to use and that you can efficiently work with legal documents from around the world.
Step-by-Step Guide
You can control two main language settings in your Vincent account.
1. Customizing Your Interface Language
This setting changes the language of the Vincent interface itself (menus, buttons, etc.).
Click on your Profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
From the dropdown menu, select Language Settings.
Under the Select your language section, choose your preferred interface language from the list.
Click Save.

2. Configuring Automatic Translation
These settings control how Vincent handles documents that are in a different language from your interface.
Navigate to the Language Settings menu as described above.
Scroll down to the Automatic translation section.
Here you can configure your preferences:
Suggest translating content: Vincent will ask you if you want to translate a document.
Automatically translate content: Vincent will translate all foreign-language documents automatically.
Preferred language: Choose the language you want documents to be translated into.
Visualization options: Choose to show the translation and the original document side-by-side by default.
Click Save to apply your changes.

Best Practices & Pro Tips
Side-by-Side View: For detailed legal analysis, we recommend enabling the Show translation and original side-by-side by default option. This allows you to read the convenient translation while still being able to verify the original legal text.
