Learn how to Anonymize Documents with Vincent. Our powerful PII removal tool helps you automatically redact legal documents by removing confidential information, making them safe to share or use for internal knowledge management.

Why This is Important

Protecting client confidentiality is a paramount ethical obligation. The "Anonymize Documents" workflow allows you to leverage the valuable information within sensitive documents without exposing personally identifiable information (PII). This is perfect for creating internal training materials, building a firm-wide knowledge base, or sharing case insights with your team while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Start the Workflow and Upload Your Document

To begin, select Anonymize Documents from the list of workflows. You can then upload the confidential document you wish to process.

Upload the confidential document you need to anonymize.

Step 2: Review the Anonymized Version

Vincent will read your document and automatically identify and redact confidential information. This can include:

  • Names of individuals

  • Healthcare information

  • Specific dates

  • Other potentially identifiable data

  • Suggestions for next steps, such as other workflows you can run with the anonymized document, related questions you can ask, or additional instructions you can provide.

The redacted version of the text will be presented to you for review.

Vincent automatically redacts personally identifiable information.

Step 3: Use the Anonymized Content

Once the information has been anonymized, it is suitable for ingestion into other systems. You can use the copy icon to copy the safe, redacted text and paste it into your internal knowledge base, training materials, or other documents.

Copy the safe, anonymized text for use in other systems.

Best Practices & Pro Tips
