Summary

Learn how to Compare Documents with Vincent. Our legal document comparison tool allows you to upload multiple documents and automatically generates a side-by-side table summarizing their key attributes, such as legal claims, facts, and parties involved.

Why This is Important

When you're handling a case with multiple related documents like two different complaints or a motion and a response understanding their key differences is crucial. The Compare Documents workflow automates this analysis, identifying a set of common criteria and providing a clear, structured comparison. This saves you time and helps you quickly spot the most important distinctions.

Step-by-Step Guide

To begin, navigate to the Vincent landing page and select Compare Documents from the workflow library.

Best Practices & Pro Tips

When to Use "Compare Documents" vs. "Redline Analysis"

  • Use Compare Documents when you have two or more different documents (e.g., Complaint A vs. Complaint B) and you want to understand their high-level, conceptual differences.

  • Use Performing a Redline Analysis when you have two versions of the same document and you want to see the specific, word-for-word changes between them.
