# Account creation

To create an account, go to vLex and select **Sign up**. Input your information in the form, and tell us what jurisdiction you are primarily interested in (you can add more later).

Another way you can get to this form is by opening the login screen and clicking **No account? Register.**

A third and final option for opening an account with vLex is to use your social media. Go to the vLex login screen and click on the **Google**, **Facebook** or **Twitter** icons. You will be taken to the site you have chosen and asked to authorise access.

When you open a new account, you will get three days of trial access and then, if you have not chosen a subscription, your account will migrate to vLex Open, which will only give you access to certain features. Read more about this in [Subscriptions](/support-1/account-management/your-subscriptions.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
If you access an account through an organisation, talk to your administrator or librarian. They can create an account for you and you will receive an email with your login details.
{% endhint %}

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
